Board Election

Board Election 2020

PROSPECTIVE CANDIDATES PLEASE NOTE: While the Council’s transition to the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants has been delayed due to the federal government’s focus on protecting Canadians from the global COVID-19 pandemic, we are advised that proclamation of the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants Act (Canada) and continuance of the Council to the College remains a priority. Upon continuance, the Council’s then-current Board of Directors will be replaced by the “transitional board” provided for in the College Act.  This will impact candidates for election to the Council’s Board of Directors in two principal ways:

1. Should the Date of Continuance, as set out in the College Act, be set to occur prior to the 2020 Annual General Meeting, the Board election will be cancelled immediately.

2. Should the election proceed, Directors elected this year will serve only until the Date of Continuance.

Voting will take place during a seven day period between Saturday, December 5, 2020, and Friday, December 11, 2020 by electronic or paper ballot.
