We are pleased to again participate in Canada’s national Fraud Prevention Month, in collaboration with the Competition BureauCompetition Bureau, the RCMPRCMP, and the Canadian Anti-Fraud CentreCanadian Anti-Fraud Centre.
Immigration fraud can have devastating impacts on individuals and families hoping to make Canada their home. A common fraud is the impersonation of immigration consultants.
We encourage potential immigrants to protect themselves against immigration fraud by verifying their immigration consultant using our
Public Register
Follow our planned campaign initiatives:
- International digital campaign to target aspiring immigrants, international students, and temporary workers
- Social media campaign on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn to share fraud prevention tips in languages spoken by potential immigrants
- Further collaboration with the High Commission of Canada in India to deliver joint webinars in the Punjab region to educate the public on using authorized representatives, and development of videos in Hindi and Punjabi to inform this audience and promote our Safe Migration to Canada app available for Apple or Android
Public participation is crucial to mitigate immigration fraud.
Learn about how to protect yourself against immigration fraud and share our messages #VerifyYourImmConsultant and #FightImmFraud.
