YM, the Council’s third-party IT service provider has been experiencing intermittent technical issues with their servers over the past number of days. These issues continue to impact our member database and many services, including membership applications, payments, and applications to write the forthcoming Entry-to-Practice Exam (EPE).
We apologize for any inconvenience that this is causing. We are taking steps to mitigate the impact of these issues and are working with YM to resolve them as quickly as possible.
We will be sending an eblast to members and registrants once services resume.
- How can I pay my quarterly membership dues while YM is experiencing technical issues?
Due to the continuing intermittent disruption to YM, we have disabled the payment function and therefore no payments can be applied at this time. Members will be provided with instructions on how and when they can access their invoices and make payments at a later date. During this time, no late penalties will be applied.

SUCCESSFUL EXAM-TAKERS APPLYING TO BECOME RCICs/RISIAs
- I want to submit my application to become an RCIC/RISIA, but I am unable. What can I do?
At this time, with the unforeseen YM outages, you may not be able to upload your membership application. We understand that this may cause great concern and we are working to obtain a solution from YM. We will contact you by November 5, 2020, either to let you know that YM service has resumed or to provide you with instructions for an alternative application process.
- Some of my documents for the application will expire soon. What are my options?
We advise you to use this time to ensure that all requirements are met, and that documents are ready for uploading into the system once it is working. UPDATING MEMBER PROFILE INFORMATION
- I need to update my profile. What can I do?
We are aware that there have been delays accessing the YM portal and are working on a solution. If updating your information is urgent, please send your information by email to email@example.com.
We are assessing the possible impact on the administration of the exam.
- I have not paid my exam fee. How do I ensure payment is made before taking the exam?
We are aware that you have been unable to access YM which is where you would pay your exam fee. This will not affect your ability to sit the exam. Communication will continue to be sent to candidates for this November’s exam from the Registrar’s office.
- I have applied for the February Entry-to-Practice Exam (EPE) and have not heard anything. Can you provide an update?
The registration team is processing November EPE applications and will contact all February applicants with an update upon completion of the November EPE.
